Ana Amorim is an interaction designer/strategist with 5 years of experience ranging from user-interface design, user experience design and service design innovation strategy. She has an MA in Interaction Design from the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea in Italy (2006) and a BA in Communication Design from the University of Lisbon (2002).
Prior moving to Copenhagen, Ana worked at IDEO in Chicago as interaction designer. Here she worked as information architect on a continuous blood glucose meter for Bayer, as user experience analyst on a home communication device for AT&T and a foresight thinker on a vision piece on the future of retail banking for CitiBank, among other projects.
In the summer of 2005, she interned as a experience designer at Nokia in Helsinki developing research and first concepts on social conventions getting established around the mobile call handling. Previous to studying interaction design, Ana was portal and campaign design at Onyway, a telecom operator that was preparing the launch of 3G phones, designing, managing and supporting the mobile online web portal content development and integration. Ana is currently working as independent consultant.
As an analytical thinker, her strength lies in managing issues of scale and complexity that arise when designing interactions across multiple touchpoints, over extended periods of time.
